Shooting
Shooting supplies at Double D cover the gear that rides on a gun, sits beside it at the bench or locks it up at night: holsters, slings, triggers, choke tubes, optics, range gear, airgun ammo and storage. With more than 3,000 products in this department, start with the job. Carrying a handgun, building out a deer rifle, patterning a turkey gun and outfitting a range bag each have their own shelf below.

How the shooting supplies are organized
The department splits into seven shelves. Most shoppers only need one or two of them per trip, so here is the map.
| Shelf | What lives there |
|---|---|
| Firearm accessories | Holsters, slings, swivels, triggers, gun cases, bipods and gunsmithing tools |
| Choke tubes | Turkey, waterfowl and brand-fit tubes for Benelli, Beretta, Browning and Remington |
| Optics | Riflescopes, red dots, thermal, binoculars, rangefinders and the rings that hold them |
| Range accessories | Targets, hearing protection, shooting glasses and range bags |
| Flashlights for guns | Pistol and long-gun lights, mounts, pressure switches and batteries |
| Gun safes and accessories | Handgun vaults, lock boxes, dehumidifiers, racks and concealment storage |
| Recreational | Airgun pellets, slugs, BBs, magazines and hand pumps |
Shooting accessories that bolt on, clip on or carry
The biggest shelf by far is firearm accessories, and holsters make up a large share of it. Those are sorted by carry method and fit, so a shopper with a compact 9mm and a shopper with a single-action revolver both land on short lists instead of 700 cards. Long-gun owners usually start with rifle slings and the swivels and studs that anchor them, then add a bipod. The rifle bipods shelf is split by attachment type, which matters more than brand when you are standing at the bench with a sling stud and no rail.
Triggers and tools sit on the same branch. If you plan to swap a factory trigger or mount a scope yourself, the gunsmithing tools page has the punches, vise blocks and torque drivers to do it without marring a finish.
Optics, mounts and choke tubes for hunters
Deer hunters tend to shop scope and rings together. The rings live on their own shelf, scope mounts and rings, broken out by tube diameter and by rifle model so you can match a Savage, Tikka or Remington 700 receiver without guessing. Red dot shooters will find plates and risers there too, and the dots themselves sit under red dots and prisms.
Shotgunners get two routes into choke tubes. Shop by purpose with turkey choke tubes or waterfowl choke tubes, or shop by thread pattern if you already know your gun takes Benelli, Beretta, Invector Plus or Remington tubes. Either way, confirm the thread system on your barrel before you order, because a tube that does not match will not seat.
Shooting range gear for a first trip or a full season
A new shooter can cover the essentials with four items: ear protection, eye protection, targets and something to carry it all in. Shooting glasses and muffs are cheap insurance and belong in every range bag. Paper and steel targets cover sighting in and plinking, and range bags keep magazines, ammo and tools from rattling around a truck bed.
Storage is the other half of ownership. A handgun vault or lock box handles the nightstand and the vehicle, and dehumidifier rods and silica packs protect whatever sits in a larger safe through a humid summer. Rules for storing and transporting firearms vary by state and city, so check with your state agency before you travel.
Shooting FAQs
Where are airgun pellets and BBs?
Under Recreational. That shelf carries pellets and slugs in .177, .22, .25 and larger calibers, plus BBs, spare magazines and hand pumps from several airgun brands.
How do I find a choke tube that fits my shotgun?
Start with the thread system stamped on your barrel or listed in your owner's manual, then shop the matching brand shelf. Each listing names the gauge and constriction or pattern in its title.
Which shelf has scope rings and mounts?
Mounts, Rings and Bases under Optics. It is sorted by ring diameter (1 inch, 30mm, 34mm) and by rifle model, which is the quickest way to narrow it.
What shooting range gear should I buy first?
Hearing protection and shooting glasses, then targets. A range bag can wait until you own enough gear to need one, which usually takes about two trips.
