Product Overview
Long range is unforgiving. The wind bends, the light fades, and lesser glass quits at the exact moment the shot matters. The Athlon Midas BTR GEN2 HD 4.5-27x50 is built for that moment: a wide 4.5-27x range, bright HD glass, and exposed turrets that go back to zero every single time. The illuminated AHMR reticle rides in the second focal plane, so it stays the same clean size at every power while you dial or hold for distance.
Glass that earns its magnification
Cranking up to 27x only helps if the image holds together, and this one does. Athlon's low-dispersion HD glass delivers brighter, sharper images with true color edge to edge, while advanced fully multi-coated lenses squeeze maximum light transmission out of dawn and dusk, the hours that matter most. An XPL protective coating on the exterior lenses shrugs off dirt, oil, and the stray scratch that comes with real field use.
Turrets you can trust under pressure
Exposed turrets put your dials right at your fingertips, with crisp 0.25 MOA clicks, 25 MOA per rotation, and 85 MOA of total elevation to reach way out there. A true Precision Zero Stop means you can spin back down and stop dead on your zero, no counting, no second-guessing. Backing it all is Athlon's high-precision erector system, so the adjustments you dial are the adjustments you get.
The AHMR illuminated MOA reticle
This is the MOA version, with the AHMR reticle etched into glass and illuminated for low-light work. The MOA holdover references let you hold for wind and drop without leaving the glass, and because it sits in the second focal plane, the reticle stays consistent and uncluttered across the full zoom range. If you think in MOA, this is the one you want.
Built to take a beating
A one-piece, aircraft-grade aluminum tube is argon purged and sealed waterproof, fog proof, and shockproof, so recoil, weather, and the back of the truck do not get a vote. Sharp, tight, and ready for the conditions you actually hunt and shoot in.
