Chairs
Blind chairs and marsh seats keep you off wet ground long enough to hunt the late flight. This shelf has wetland and marsh seats for standing water, low field chairs for open-ground goose hunts, a MOmarsh bench seat and lounge, and a dove chair. Choose by what is under your feet, standing water or dry field.

Marsh Seats for Flooded Timber and Cattails
A marsh seat holds you above shallow water so you can sit in the cover instead of standing in it. The shelf has the Higdon Marsh Seat, the Ducks Unlimited Wetland Seat, the Alps Outdoorz Mesh Wetland Seat and Deluxe Mesh Wetland Seat, and the MOmarsh Marsh Saddle. Two of them are mesh, worth a look if you hunt wet. Check the listed seat height against the water you hunt, and wear duck hunting waders either way, because a marsh seat raises you above the water without making you dry.
Field Chairs for Goose Hunts
Open fields with no cover call for low chairs. The Migrator Field Chair and Snow Goose Chair are the field options here. A chair is quicker to move than a blind when birds shift, which suits spring snow goose hunts where the spread follows the flock. Pair a low chair with a field blanket from our duck blind accessories and you can hide in a field without hauling a layout blind.
For the full layout setup, see our layout blinds. A good spread of goose decoys draws attention away from the hunters too.
Blind Seating for Pits, Boats and Benches
Permanent blinds and boat hides need seating that stays put. MOmarsh covers this end with the Mobile Bench Seat, the InvisiLounge XL and the Invisi-Chair. Check each listing for size. Measure your blind before ordering, especially the gap between seat and shooting rail. If you have to stand up awkwardly to shoot, you will be late on every bird.
Dove Fields in September
The MOmarsh Tactical Dove Chair lives here because early-season hunters often use the same gear for doves and teal. Set up along a field edge with a few dove decoys on a wire or fence, and keep your shells and water in a blind bag.
Fitting a Seat to Your Hunt
Three measurements decide most chair purchases: seat height, the depth of water you sit in, and the height of the blind wall or cover in front of you. Too high and your head shows. Too low and you cannot see the birds coming or swing on them. Pack chairs and stools from the upland and deer side on our hunting chairs page work for dry ground, and camp chairs cover the tailgate after the hunt. In the marsh, stick with seats built for water.
Blind Chair FAQs
What is a marsh seat?
A seat on legs or a stake that holds you above shallow water or mud, so you can sit inside natural cover. They are common in flooded timber and cattail marshes.
Do I need a blind chair if I hunt from a layout blind?
No. Layout blinds have their own built-in seating. A separate chair makes sense for pit blinds, boat blinds, panel blinds and open-field hunts without a layout.
How high should a marsh seat be?
High enough to keep you above the water you usually hunt, but low enough to stay hidden in the cover. Check the seat height listed on each product against your typical water depth.
