Blind Grass for Layouts, Panels and Boats
MOmarsh Blind Grass comes in 4' x 5' sheets sold in a four-pack, with more than one option on the listing. Sheets cover a lot of frame at once, which makes them practical for panel blinds, boat blinds and pit tops. InvisiGrass is MOmarsh's second grass product, offered at several price points, so check the listing for what each option includes.
Grass works best as a base layer. Add stubble, cattails or brush from the spot you hunt and the blind takes on the local color, which no manufactured grass can match exactly. Replace or refresh it when it starts to look flat or shiny after a season in the sun.
Snow Covers and Field Blankets
Late-season fields turn white, and a dark blind in a snowy field is easy to see from the air. The Zero-Gravity Snow Cover and Legend Snow Cover are named for the layout blinds they fit. Find both blinds on our layout blinds page.
The Migrator Field Blanket is the minimalist option: a blanket you lie under instead of a frame you lie in. It is less to carry on a long walk into a field than a framed blind, and it pairs well with the Migrator Field Chair. Wear dark hunting gloves and a face cover so the blanket is not hiding everything but your hands.
Comfort and Carry Add-Ons
Small parts make long hunts easier. The Layout Blind Pillow takes some strain off your neck in a layout. The MOmarsh Universal Shoulder Strap frees up a hand on the walk in; check the listing for what it attaches to. The MOmarsh Short Leg Kit is a replacement part for MOmarsh frames; match it to your model. If you hunt with a dog, our dog blinds use the same concealment ideas at retriever height.
Brushing In a Blind on Site
Manufactured grass gets you most of the way. The last stretch comes from what is growing where you set up. Cut stubble, cattails or cane from nearby and tuck it into stubble straps or grass loops so the blind matches the ground the birds see. Pay attention to the shadow side, and break up straight edges that birds spot from above.
Re-brush midseason when the field color changes. If you hunt mixed ground, a little grass of each type in your blind bag saves a trip. A pair of duck hunting waders helps when the best cover sits in the ditch.
Blind Grass FAQs
How much blind grass do I need?
Measure the frame you want to cover and compare it to the sheet size on the listing (the MOmarsh sheets are 4' x 5'). Plan for some overlap, and expect to add local vegetation on top.
Can I use a snow cover on any layout blind?
Snow covers here are named for specific blinds. Buy the one that matches your blind model so it fits the frame and doors.
Are these the same as deer blind accessories?
No. These are built for waterfowl blinds. For pop-up and hub-style ground blinds, see our hunting blind accessories on the deer side.
