Product Overview
The Yamamoto Uni looks like something that washed in with the tide — which is exactly the point. It's Yamamoto's take on the urchin bait (the spiny, dice-style finesse craze taking over bass fishing), a TPE creature built around bulbed appendages that catch water and shimmy with every twitch of the rod tip. Let it fall and it drops with a very lifelike quiver — and pressured, finicky bass that have seen every minnow and drop-shot worm in the lake simply haven't seen this.
The custom Yamamoto TPE formula does the work: flexible enough to breathe on the slightest movement, durable enough to hold up fish after fish, and buoyant enough to stand those appendages up and keep them quivering on a drop shot, Neko, or jika rig — or hovered in front of forward-facing sonar. If you want a profile and action bass have flat-out never seen, the Uni is your ticket to more bites. 1 per pack.
How to rig the Uni
- Drop shot: the buoyant body stands the appendages up off the bottom — the deadliest way to fish it in clear water.
- Neko rig: a nail weight gives it a darting, nose-down quiver.
- Jika rig: compact and weedless for fishing in and around cover.
- Forward-facing sonar: hover and twitch it like a jerkbait in front of cruising fish.
