Product Overview
The Yamamoto Fuzzy Nut looks a little ridiculous in your palm — then you drop it in, watch the bass come unglued over it, and stop asking questions. It's Yamamoto's take on the fuzzy bait (or dice bait) craze that's quietly taken over finesse fishing: a stubby, skirted profile that pressured bass simply haven't seen a thousand times already. At 1.5", the threaded skirt material breathes with a very subtle secondary action — just enough movement to draw a reaction bite out of finicky, heavily fished, and forward-facing-sonar-weary fish.
And it's built to rig. The Fuzzy Nut is the perfect length to completely conceal a nail weight, so it disappears onto a Neko rig, drop shot, or wacky setup with no hook or hardware in sight, while the heavyweight Yamamoto salted formula gives it that slow, tempting fall rate. Especially killer on smallmouth and spotted bass, it comes 6 per pack in 10 proven Yamamoto colors.
How to rig the Fuzzy Nut
- Neko rig: nail weight in one end (the body hides it completely), weedless hook through the middle — the go-to for a quivering, nose-down fall.
- Drop shot: nose- or wacky-hook above a drop-shot weight to hover it in the strike zone.
- Wacky: hook through the middle for a slow, shimmying fall on slack line.
