Ladder Stands
A ladder stand is the one you leave up. It goes in once, holds a comfortable seat all season, and gives you a stable platform for a rifle or a long sit in cold weather. That permanence is the trade. You give up mobility and gain a stand you can climb in the dark without thinking about it.
We stock one-man and two-man ladder stands from 15 to 21 feet, with weight ratings from 300 to 500 pounds, plus tripods for open ground where there is no tree worth hanging from.
Sizing your stand
- Solo sits. Lighter to carry in and easier to hide. The Muddy Stronghold 1.5 reaches 21 feet, which gets you above most thermals on a hillside.

Hang it right, hang it early
Put ladder stands up in summer so deer have months to accept them. Bring a second person, since raising 90 pounds of steel alone is how people get hurt. Ratchet the top and bottom straps tight to a live tree with no lean toward you, check every strap for UV damage before opening day, and wear a harness from the ground up rather than clipping in once you are seated.
