Bait finesse came out of Japan for fisheries that had been hammered flat, where the only thing left that works is light line and a tiny lure. The Classic BFS is Phenix's take on it, and it is a proper BFS casting rod: a 36T Toray carbon blank with a solid carbon tip section and an extra-fast action, running Fuji micro guides with Alconite inserts. Phenix calls it the most sensitive BFS rod on the market, and given they build ultralights for a living, the claim is at least well sourced.
