Steelhead have a reputation for being hard to hook and easy to lose, and the Cicada is a steelhead fishing rod built around that second half. Phenix uses a 30 ton Toray carbon fiber blank with Nanolite resins, Fuji FazLite guides and a AAA Portuguese cork foregrip, then finishes it with a shaped solid carbon fiber rear grip that counterbalances the rod. Long days of drifting are the point, and your forearm will notice.
