Product Overview
Glass blanks are heavy, thick and short on backbone, and the Mirage is Phenix's way out of that trade. Net V carbon gives it the soft, forgiving action a trout rod needs while keeping a spine underneath, and the thin diameter keeps the whole thing light in the hand. The 2-piece models split 50/50, so they actually fit in a pack instead of riding on the roof. At 1 to 5 lb it is just as much a panfish rod, and bluegill and crappie do not know the difference.
