Surf fishing punishes tackle in ways boat fishing does not, and the Black Diamond Surf is Phenix's answer to it. The blank is 30 and 40 ton composite, dressed with Fuji K guides, a Fuji expandable reel seat and handcrafted EVA handles. Red drum, corvina and big striped bass are the stated targets, which tells you roughly how hard you are allowed to pull.
