Minerals & Attractants
Deer attractants do two jobs. They hold deer on your ground long enough to pattern them, and they pull those deer past a camera or a stand at a spot you picked. Minerals work the growing season when does are nursing and bucks are pushing antler. Food-based attractants take over once the weather turns and deer start hunting calories.

What to run and when
- Spring through summer, minerals. Establish a site early and deer will use it for years. Evolved Deer Cane Black Magic is the standard starting point, and Rack-Up Trophy Class Mineral refreshes an existing site.
- Late summer into fall, food draws. Acorn Rage and Persimmon Crushed lean on flavors deer already hunt on their own.
- Rut, scent. The Buck Bomb Primetime Rut Kit pairs an aerosol with a hammock so the scent hangs where you want it instead of soaking into the dirt.

Check your state rules first
Baiting laws vary by state and sometimes by county, and mineral is regulated separately from feed in several places. Missouri hunters should read the current regulations before establishing a site, especially inside CWD management zones where mineral and feed restrictions apply.
