Mow the plot low, clear the heavy grass residue so the seed reaches soil, and let it establish fast. The annual mix feeds deer with protein and nutrition through the year and holds them on the property into winter. It grows lush plots quickly in a range of soils, including acidic ground, and covers up to a quarter acre.
